Violent Assault & Battering

- Females are approximately 75% of the victims of intimate murders and about 85% of the victims of non-lethal intimate violence.
- Women age 16 to 24 experience the highest per capita rate of intimate violence.
As common as they are disturbing, sexual assaults against women are on the rise. Sexual assaults remain the most under-reported cases in the criminal justice system.
